Slot-correct enchant materials
Enchant costs are not one-size-fits-all. Weapons, armor pieces, and offhands consume different rune/soul/relic counts. The desk uses dump-accurate counts so your margin is not off by a stack of materials.
Artefact and upgrade paths
Artefact gear often needs an extra fragment step. Pair enchanting with the artifact foundry when meld cost matters, or the enchant ladder when you want the best step from .0 → .1 → .2 → .3.
When enchanting loses to flipping
If the enchanted sell book is thin or stale, buying the finished enchant on the market (or a city flip) can beat rolling materials. Cross-check on the market browser and the flip scanner (Scout).
