What RRR actually refunds
Resource return rate refunds a share of materials when you refine or craft. Higher RRR lowers expected material cost per finished item. Specialty cities and focus raise effective RRR for matching lines — mechanics documented on the Albion Online Wiki and modeled in our calculators.
Specialty city first
Before spending focus, move work to the specialty city for that resource or craft line. The refining calculator and crafting calculator apply the correct city bonus so home-city vs specialty-city silver is comparable.
When focus is worth it
Spend focus when the silver gain from higher RRR exceeds what that focus would earn elsewhere — usually specialty refining/crafting with healthy sell quotes. Skip focus on thin books or stale AODP samples. Use the focus allocator and Best Now desks to rank focus ROI.
Focus vs flipping
Flipping moves existing stock; focus improves production yield. If city spreads are wide and liquid, Scout flip scanning may beat slow focus crafts. If spreads are thin but specialty RRR is strong, focus production often wins.
